Tasks Covered
Each designer can perform any mixture of the following tasks:
- Website design including layout design, image creation, HTML coding, CSS stylesheet coding, Flash work, image optimization, HTML validation, implementing navigation systems, search engine tags and so on;
- Building unique websites from scratch based on your specifications;
- Adding and adjusting pre-written JavaScript code to web pages, and writing basic (but not advanced) JavaScript where required;
- Small print jobs such as logos, business cards and letterhead (up to a maximum file size of 5 MB). CMYK files are not supported but may be available occasionally (infrequent use only) at our discretion.
Please note that the following tasks cannot usually be undertaken by your assigned designer:
- Print work involving any file larger than 5MB (for Standard and Premium levels) or larger than 50MB (for Gold level);
- 3D modelling/design;
- Original illustration work;
- Support for your customers;
- Programming (e.g. PHP, Perl, .NET etc);
- System/server administration.
Skills
We provide designers with the following profile:
- Strong creative design skills;
- Substantial experience in web design;
- Sound CSS knowledge;
- Sound HTML knowledge;
- Good skills in Flash;
- Ability to incorporate pre-written Javascript into web pages;
- Clear and effective written English.
Software Available
Your assigned web designer will work on a Windows desktop with the following software installed:
- Adobe Dreamweaver;
- Adobe Flash;
- Adobe Fireworks (includes support for Photoshop files);
- Inkscape;
- Web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera);
- Instant messenger (AOL, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN supported);
- Open Office (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations).
Your assigned web designer will also have access to an extensive stock photography library. Images from that library can be used in the website(s) we build for you.

Please note though that we do not work from templates (unless you specifically request it). That is, our designers will create unique, custom-built sites from scratch based on your specifications.
Standard, Premium and Gold
We provide designers at three different quality levels to give you the flexibility to choose the service which best suits you. All designers are capable of building quality websites. However, designers at the Premium level have stronger design skills than those at the standard level, and designers at the Gold level have stronger design skills than those at the Premium and standard levels. The higher the level of service plan you choose, the higher the quality of the design work produced.
Star Performer
Do you have advanced requirements? Are you keen to hand-pick the designer assigned to you?
With our Star Performer plan series, we will provide you with profiles of up to three expert-level designers. The profiles will include details of each designer's skills, qualifications, experience and monthly price (in the range US$1499-$2499). The profiles will also include sample designs and an unedited written statement from the designer.
After reviewing the profiles, you can sign up to secure the service of one of the designers if you wish. Alternatively, you can decline to proceed, in which case the setup fee will be refunded after deducting a $50 administrative charge.
Please note that Star Performer staff are available only on a full-time basis (not part-time).
Interact with your assigned staff
You can interact with your assigned staff via:
- Email - we will notify you of an email address which you can use to directly contact the staff assigned to you. Your assigned staff can
also respond directly to you;
- Instant messenger - we will provide an instant messenger address at which you can directly contact the staff assigned to you at any time
during your daily service period; and
- Job Tracker - we provide a task management system in our customer center which you can use to provide instructions and files to your assigned staff.
Supervision
We provide basic supervision only. That is, we ensure that your assigned staff attend work on time and work diligently while at work.
We do not provide advanced supervision, meaning that we do not oversee the actual tasks undertaken. Rather, you would need to directly interact with your assigned staff to ensure that work is being carried out to your satisfaction. You would also need to be sure to assign sufficient, clearly-defined work and to monitor work progress in order to get as much value as possible out of your paid support period.
Number of Hours Worked
Full-time staff work 8 hours per day (including a meal break) and Part-time staff work 4 hours per day (including a meal break). All Standard-level staff work six days per week (Monday to Saturday). Premium, Gold and Star Performer staff work five days per week (Monday to Friday).
Your assigned staff will work exclusively for you throughout your daily service period, and will not be assigned to any other customer during that time.
Shift Times
Our Standard, Premium and Gold staff work during one of the following three shifts:
- 6am-2pm local time
- 2pm-10pm local time
- 10pm-6am local time
Our Star Performer staff work during one of the following shifts, unless otherwise agreed prior to purchase:
- 8am-4pm local time
- 9am-5pm local time
We have staff in both India and the Philippines. The time zone in India is GMT +5:30, and the time in the Philippines is GMT +8:00.
For the health and welfare of our staff regular shift rotation is necessary for Standard, Premium and Gold staff. This means that generally your assigned staff member will change shifts on a monthly basis.
